The best weekend since August, Pt.1

The description of this weekend events will require 3 or maybe 4 posts. here comes first.

I woke up at 9 o'clock in the morning and raised at 9:20. I needed to raise quite early to have a long day. Then a had a short breakfast, some tea and set off to warm my car a bit.

There I faced the first problem - left door key mechanism had been totally frozen due to my unprofessionalism and laziness in dealing with old and used Russian cars.
Also I faced same troubles with my rear door, but that did not really matter.
But I didn't lose heart and used my right door which worked just fine.

I've brought all my stuff from the flat in three times not because of its number but because the holes in my head and things were just falling from them.

Then I departed, picked up Eugene and headed south. In Pushkin I picked up Anatoly and Nikolai and once more remembered the weakness of my suspension

Neither me nor Tolya managed to find out the correct path to the Tuttary park, so as we arrived to Kievskoye highway we decided to turn left and then turn right as soon as we'd find matching road. But nothing like a road to the hill appeared on our way. After some villages passing we thought we came too far and decided to turn back and find any road to the slope. We found our turn behind the gas station, that's why i missed before. First road came through the village, but then it lead us into fields. Hill was well-seen and was a perfect reference point. Road was coming worse and worse. Driving in direction to the slope we circled twice around the fireplace at the edge of the forest with great holes in the ground unseen behind snow. Then we continued opposite direction because it was the only way. Later we met some guest workers and asked them about the way to the hill. They said that we just have to return 20 meters behind and turn left and there we go, through holes. Later we made diagonal shortcuts through the fields, drove through the thistle, stuck 2 times in the snow. At last we found a road and it was getting better closer we moved to the hill.

After arrival we unpacked, Nikolai rented the snowboarding gear and we rode for about 2 hours. Not much, but there was rent and further plans for the day. I remembered about jumping. But kickers were small, the snow near kickers was hard or there was no snow at all, just ice, and worst of all - sand. Slope was quite good for such a near place. And there wasn't really a lot of people. But it was costy.

We drove back usual road, but it was covered with ice. I had to go slow. Before one turn I had a glance at my speedometer, it was showing 50 kmh. I thought that t was a little bit to fast for such an icy road. Next moment I felt sliding of my rear wheels. I turned to the side of the slide as I'd been learnt, but it was already useless. My car slowly turned opposite direction, very accurately and stoped. I turned back and continued our way home. When we finally reached the highway, I second time unguessed the direction. But my fellow travellers were ready and made me stop to ask aborigine for direction. Next time I turn and then reached Pushkin and then home without any problems ;) .
